Krypton Fund Services · Website review · October 2026

kryptonfs.com Health Check

The website is fully operational, but its underlying components have not been maintained since 2023. As a result, routine updates now take longer and carry a higher risk of issues.

Our recommendation

Build the new design on up-to-date foundations as one project. Until it launches, we keep the current site running and fix only what is urgent.

Needs attention now

Contact form messages are not reaching you

Visitors see a thank-you message, but the email service behind the form has run out of credits. Someone with the SendGrid login needs to top up the account.

Urgent

The KYC page does not fully protect client sessions

The way the page remembers each person's verification could allow someone else to reopen it, which may expose their submitted documents. This is a small fix, and we recommend making it straight away given the sensitivity of the data.

Urgent

The contact form has no spam protection

Automated bots can submit the form freely. This may be what used up the email credits, and it also allows misleading messages to reach your inbox looking like genuine enquiries. Adding a simple bot check resolves this.

Fix soon

Website accounts are still with the previous developer

The website code and the content editor are still held in Otterdev's name. The link that sends updates to the live site has also expired, so even small fixes are hard to put live right now. Moving everything to Krypton or to us solves both, so you are never locked out of your own site.

Do first

Careers page job listings

BambooHR changed how it shares job listings, which broke the page. Fixed on 27 October.

Fixed

Why it matters

The site could stop updating without warning

The site has had no maintenance updates since 2023, and the handover from Otterdev did not flag this or list what needed attention. Meanwhile your hosting provider keeps changing its systems, and the site's connection to it is now badly out of date. It is the part most likely to fail.

Risk

The client identity check uses an old version

The KYC page relies on an older version of Sumsub's tool. For a regulated business, this page should be kept current.

Risk

Every change costs more

Because the parts depend on each other, updating one breaks another. Simple edits turn into repairs.

Options

Option A

Keep fixing as we go

Fine for the months until the new site launches. Not a long-term option.

Option B

Update the current site

Fixes the old site, but that work is thrown away when the new design goes live.

Recommended

Build the new design on new foundations

One project: the new look and up-to-date parts together. Your existing content carries over.

Next steps

  1. Top up the SendGrid account so contact messages arrive again.
  2. Ask Otterdev to transfer the website code (GitHub) and the content editor (Sanity) to Krypton or to us. Either way, we manage them for you from there.
  3. We fix the KYC page and add spam protection to the contact form.
  4. We keep the current site running and fix only urgent issues.
  5. The new design is built on up-to-date foundations, with a preview link for you to check before launch.
